Observation

The provider did not contact Washington poison center after learning of a supected poisoning via ingestion of bleach water used for sanitizing purposes. The provider did not report to the Department suspected poisoning via ingestion of bleach water used for sanitizing purposes. The provider did not contact parents immediately to report suspected poisoning via ingestion of bleach water used for sanitizing purposes. This licensor requested that all parents whose children may have ingested the bleach water be notified. Two parents reported that they were informed that their child may have ingested bleach water "residue". This is inaccurate. The children may have ingested bleach water as their sippy cups and water bottles may have been filled with bleach water due to its placement in a pitcher that is normally used for drinking water.
